ART CLASSES

I strive to create a relaxed atmosphere in which my students feel at ease to experiment, play, and make mistakes. My goal is to emulate the middle school art class experience, but for busy adults! Read more about my teaching philosophy here.
I offer one-day workshops, weekend intensives, and multi-week fine art classes in and around Harrisonburg, VA, private group workshops up to 2 hours away, as well as virtual classes, so there is something for everyone who wants to explore their creative side.

The below offerings are available for participants ages 14+! I can host workshops for up to 12 participants in my Harrisonburg studio, or I will to travel up to 2 hours from Harrisonburg VA and can set up a class in homes, offices, or other available venues, such as restaurants, breweries, or wineries. All materials are provided, and workshops are 2.5-3 hours.

MAGAZINE TRANSFER EARRINGS
Learn how to make handcrafted earrings using a magazine transfer method that is super easy and fun! Leave with 2-3 finished pairs of dangly, unique earrings that you can flaunt or give as gifts!
COLLAGE WORKSHOPS
Create a dynamic collage artwork on paper using images from magazines! Learn cutting techniques, how to find the “right” kind of images, and we'll discuss the elements & principles of art and ways to create successful compositions.
HAND-CARVED STAMPED NOTECARDS (w/ envelopes)
Learn the basics of linocut block printing to carve your own stamp! Choose from 4 designs and print your stamp to make a set of 10 blank notecards to send to friends and family.
