Leigh's House Mural

Ever since I began painting murals in 2023, I had been itching to figure out a way to replicate my mixed media collage art at a large scale. I needed a willing participant to let me test the idea out, and Leigh was just the person. Her house is a custom built (by the previous owners in the 1980s) lodge style house that already had some unique artistic elements when she moved in, so she was open to adding more! We worked to created a design that flowed across her living room that mimicked the branches of the wooded scenery outside her windows in a color scheme that felt right for the space.

I partnered with MOD Displays again (see their mural here) to have them create large scale decals from some of my mixed media works and Leigh and I spent an evening placing and arranging them to make a compelling scene reminiscent of my fine art works. She and I are both thrilled with the result, and I hope to do many more of these in the future!
